Wanda CAN Do Anything
Wanda started off as just a little doodle I drew and over the last 18 months she has taken on a life of her own. Read about how she came to be here. She went from a single sassy doodle to the center of a series. There are almost 50 different Wandas with plans for even more.
The Dad Project
13 years after my Dad died, I decided to start a long-term project to honor our special relationship and all that has happened since he died. This journey has taken me down the road of learning bookbinding and so much more.

Photogrpahy and 52Frames brought this group together originally, but in the years since we started meeting monthly, we have shared so much more.

This project started out as a response to a call for community art submissions for the Elgin is Home campaign in my hometown. It became so much more!
The Altered Book Project
When The Chatterbox Creatives celebrated our 3rd Anniversary in January 2026, we decided we wanted to take on a group project. That turned into a collective altered book project. I have learned about altered books, junk journals, momigami papers, and so much more.
52Frames
52Frames is an online weekly photography challenge. The rules are very simple: 1) You must take the image and 2) It must be taken between 12:00 AM Monday and 11:59 Sunday EST. I completed my 7th year (365 straight weeks without missing a submission) before I decided to take a break. I have recently started back up, but only in conjunction with a project I am working on to honor my Dad.
The Many Faces of Elgin
In 2015, my husband and I took a 28-day road trip around the US. THis book project resulted from a dinner party we attended while staying at an AirBnb in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The book was self-published in 2017. If you are local to the Elgin area, there is a copy available at the Gail Borden Library.

Oodle Doodles
These doodle creatures were the marriage of two random events– my husband buying me a copy of a book called Complete This Drawing and a friend introducing me to mindful doodling. Over the past few years, I have create a set of doodles that made their way onto everything from woodblocks in a repurposed cigarette machine to cards and magnets and even a t-shirt. I have been slowly working on stories for each of the characters as well for a long-term book project.
In addition to these doodles, I have been messing around with watercolors and a bunch of silly creatures. Follow that silliness on Instagram.
Pour Painting
I started pouring randomly when friends from out of town visited during COVID. It quickly became a passion and obsession of mine. I have poured on everything from canvases to lights to fan blades and bricks. Now I take my pouring on the road for Mobile Oodlearium classes.
The Foodie Map
My husband and I love exploring food from around the world. We keep track of our culinary adventures on a map in our dining room. Follow along!
